Nguyen Khanh Toan paints in acrylic on paper and oil on canvas. His subjects present an innocence of the human form reminiscent of Gauguin’s search for ‘the Primitive’. There is stillness in his compositions, as his bulky forms appear frozen in time and at peace with their world.
